About the Developing Park:

Lakeland North Urban Nature Park is an exciting new 20-acre park located in the scenic area between Auburn and Federal Way in Unincorporated King County. As part of King County's Land Conservation Initiative, our mission is to increase access to nature and green space for the community. The park has been generously funded through the King County 2020-2025 Parks, Recreation, Trails, and Open Space Levy, a $3.4M Land and Water Conservation Fund grant from the National Park Service (managed by Washington’s Recreation and Conservation Office), and King County Conservation Futures.

We have an opportunity to have a say in the development of the future park in our own backyard! This park will abut to Kilo Jr High.

Having lived in this neighborhood for 30+ years, I am excited to give input into the enhancement of our community.

King County has a page for you to express your choices. They closed the input poll on 7/14/23 and will soon begin the design process. This fall they will have another community meeting to share their design choices.

If you missed the deadline, you may still have an opportunity to voice your constructive suggestions by emailing them to lakelandnorth@kingcounty.gov. You can make a difference!
